Our Inclusive Initiatives

SG Enable, as the focal agency for disability and inclusion in Singapore, enables persons with disabilities to live, learn, work and play in an inclusive society. We create equitable opportunities for persons with disabilities through thought leadership, sustainable social innovation and impactful partnership.

Disability in Singapore

In Singapore, persons with disabilities encompass those with permanent physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities, as well as autism. The statistics reveal that disability affects a significant portion of our population, with rates of 2.1% among students, 3.4% in the 18-49 age group, and 13.3% among those aged 50 and above. With our society rapidly ageing, the prevalence of disability is only expected to rise.

In line with the Enabling Masterplan 2030 (EMP2030) to become a more inclusive Singapore, SG Enable has been working with our partners like Sports SG to create more opportunities for persons with disabilities to lead a healthy lifestyle and be part of the community. Beyond sports, SG Enable seeks to build a robust ecosystem of support for persons with disabilities to live, learn, work and play as integral members of society.
