Katy thinks that 'The Singapore Spirit' is about the people of Singapore – their beliefs, values, hopes and dreams. In her artwork, she uses the boat to represent Singapore, with Singaporeans from all walks of life, ages, races, abilities and talents, coming together and standing at the ready as the nation progresses. No matter the challenges that may come our way, Katy is confident that we will be able to weather all storms, and ultimately, thrive and prosper as one nation.
